Performance Indicators:
1. Programme planning and delivery caters for individual needs
2. Workshops are evident and visible to the learner
- For Afternoon Workshops we have a sign which we write on so the students are aware when they are on. We then assist them in choosing one by informing them what they are.
- Maths and Reading workshops are run on a Thursday for the top groups. The students choose which focus they think they need to work on the most when they first come down to the respective lesson time.
- Writing workshops are run with the top group group of writers and are chosen on a Monday morning. The students choose their focus and then work on this focus one day in the week.
3. Extension activities are incorporated
4. All children are catered for with appropriate learning activities including SDA
5. IEP’s are developed where necessary collaboratively with team leader / SENCO
6. Children are on task and engaged using the appropriate zones
- A group is always working with the teacher/s during Maths, Writing and Reading.
- The students who are not with the teacher are working through their Must Do's and Can Do's
- The students are aware of what space they are working in based upon what they subject they are in. If the lesson is not usually part of the routine we will inform the students of which spaces they are able to work in.
7. Conference notes / individual pupil files or equivalent
8. Clarity of instruction is evident
9. Pupils are performing to ability as evidenced through the Data Monitoring Team Meetings
- Each teacher records data on their writing group and curriculum area that they are currently working in. The teacher then chooses their target children based upon how they are achieving and who they believe would benefit most from some extra support. We then meet as a team and discuss the data as well as the targets, gathering ideas and strategies to use and assist these students.
10. Pupils exhibit independence and responsibility through the ‘Licence Level’ system
- We have three different level systems operating. These systems allow the students to a earn a badge which allows the students to do more activities based on which badge they have earned.
- The three badges they can earn are Self-Manager, Creativity and Effective Communicator.
