PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
1. Positive teacher interactions
2. Positive acknowledgement or reward system in place / or evident: Licence/Independence Levels
- We have 3 badge leveled systems which the students try to earn. These badge systems are rewarded based on their Self-Manager, creative and communication skills. These badge systems allow the students to gain benefits once they have earned their badge.
3. Displays of pupil work; Inquiry and Te Ako Ritenga evidenced
4. Frequency of display changes
5. Environment supports learning
- Our environment is very open allowing a large amount of students to comfortably fit and work within it.
- This space includes quiet spots for the students to work if necessary.
- Students are allowed to work where they would like within the spaces.
- Students have a choice in their activities.
6. Resources are readily available including eLearning
7. Positive pupil / teacher relationships including collaboration between teachers
8. Pupils are on task, happy and engaged using all zones
9. Cultural differences are acknowledged in classroom practice
10. School / class rules are agreed upon and kept to; Class Treaty Term 1
- We created our Class Treaty with the students input. Each child then signed it with their thumb print.
11. Class rules are applied consistently and fairly
12. Other support staff are used when necessary
- On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we have Cathy and work with students who we have identified as requiring some additional support whether it is due to language or learning difficulties.
13. Teacher is a good role model
14. Social skills taught where necessary
15. Safety drills are practiced regularly
16. Classroom management reflects school and legal safe practices
