One: establish and maintain effective professional relationships focused on the learning and well-being of ākonga (WHANAUNGATANGA-RELATIONSHIPS)

Eleven: analyse and appropriately use assessment information, which has been gathered formally and informally (WANANGA-LEADERSHIP)

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
1. Provision of information re pupil needs to leader / principal / SENCO
2. Discuss pupil progress / planning / programme in action, openly with team / principal
  • The team talk everyday about students who may of been struggling academically or emotionally so we are all aware of how our tamariki are. We also discuss achievements that they have made.
  • Every team meeting we have a time to discuss any specific students who we think need some extra support due to an ongoing issue or any circumstances that may affect them. 
  • We hold Data Monitoring meetings twice a term where we discuss students progress and decide our targets based upon who we think needs or would benefit the most from some extra support. 

3. Shares ideas and resources freely
4. School / parent protocols are observed
5. Principal is kept informed of any parental concerns or difficulties
6. Encourages positive parent / school relationships
7. Reports clearly and accurately to parents
8. Initiates caregivers contact if necessary
